Girls Generation Yuri and EXO's Luhan Are Dating, According To Netizen Evidence

This may just be a ridiculous rumor, but anything is possible in K-pop, and sometimes ridiculous connections have turned out to be true.

Just a coincidence? Or something more? I guess it's possible that they could have ended up wearing the same bracelets and necklaces accidentally since they're both in the same agency. But Yuri also uploaded this photo on her Instagram, which instantly makes things extremely plausible.

A seemingly innocuous picture, but the caption tells a different story. The translation means:

"Butterfly girl am4:21 The small fluttering of your wings seemed like it was telling me to follow you..A small wave of your hand makes a whirlwind strike in my heart"

These are the first and last lines of EXO's "Don't Go," and both lines are sung by none other than Luhan.

Are they actually dating? You decide.

EXO-L's Were Actually FRAMED By Rogue BTS Fan Who Uploaded Jungkook Funeral Picture

This controversy has taken a surprising turn.

On December 28th, it was reported that after Jungkook said the phrase "let's love," which is normally used by EXO, angry EXO-L's uploaded a photoshopped pic of BTS maknae Jungkook in a typical Korean-style funeral portrait.

Outrage against EXO-L multiplied online, blaming the fandom for being immature.

However, later that day, a post was uploaded on Korean forum Instiz.com that said the following:

"Goal Completed
It's on instiz, and soon it'll spread on facebook and twitter hahahaha I feel kinda sorry to kookie :( but I hate exo fans sooo... lmao they are gonna get criticized so much  hahaha I gotta delete this before someone sees it, since they could save it~~~~"

Luckily, others saw the post in time and screenshot it to share on other sites.

There's already enough fandom wars in K-pop without making up fake controversies. Hopefully fans will be able to put their differences aside and realize that this person's actions only reflect himself, not the entire A.R.M.Y. fandom.

Things Non-Kpop Fans Say That Make K-pop Fans Rage Hard

We all have that one friend who knows that you listen to K-pop and constantly makes insulting comments about it. Whether intentional or not, sometimes the remarks are too much to handle. Here are what netizens say are the most rage-inducing comments that non-kpop fans make.

Do people need to understand the language to enjoy a song? Of course not. But this kind of stuff gets said all the time:

So much fail. And then come the inevitable comments about appearance...

At least some fans will defend their idols when it comes to false accusations...

And defend them wearing makeup...

Okay, so maybe not everyone likes how K-pop stars look. It's okay to not be attracted to them. But then I hear this:
Because music isn't subjective, right?
One of the most common (and annoying) remarks:

AKA "all asians look the same and I'm totally not racist." Followed up by "they are trying so hard to copy american pop also I'm really not racist."

Although we all want to shut that person up, staying calm is the best choice...

This sums up my feelings on the subject:

Predictions Netizens Made About 2015 That Were Proven Wrong

With so many surprising changes over the past year, it was nearly impossible to predict how things would turn out. Here is a list of netizen predictions that were proven wrong over the year:

Hyeri would ruin Reply 1988 with her terrible acting

Many thought that Hyeri would be a one-hit wonder due to her viral aegyo video, but she has proven that she has the skills required for success in dramas as well. She had tough shoes to fill after being cast as the lead role of Reply 1988 after Go Ara and Eunji starred in the first two. However, Reply 1988 has broken records for cable TV dramas, with the most recent episode reaching 15.4% viewership.

Girls' Generation would fall apart after Jessica left

While many thought that SNSD would be unable to continue without Jessica, SM has continued to promote and release albums with the group. This year, the group released an album, Taeyeon had her solo debut, and the Taetiseo subgroup also had a comeback Christmas album. Total sales of their albums for 2015 reached nearly 400,000.

Seventeen would flop as rookies

Just another giant boy group? Not at all. Seventeen only debuted this year, but the 13-member group has the #8 best selling album of the year among all groups. The album, "Boys Be", sold over 106,000 copies, putting them ahead of industry veterans like VIXX, f(x), B2ST, and even Girls' Generation.

EXID would not be able to follow up the success of Up Down

After Hani's fancam went viral last year, EXID was given a spot in the limelight. They were able to follow up their success with "Ah Yeah," which has over 32 million Youtube views. "Up Down" has 38 million views, while their latest single, "Hot Pink", has reached over 11 million views. Definitely not a one hit wonder!

That Red Velvet shouldn't have added Yeri

Yeri was added to Red Velvet in March as the 5th member of the group. Although many were against the addition of a new member, Red Velvet continued their success with "Ice Cream Cake," and later with "Dumb Dumb." Yeri nicely rounds out the group and fills in what the other 4 members lacked.

That Wonder Girls would never come back

One of the original groups of the second generation of K-pop, the Wonder Girls have been a household name in the industry for years. However, after a failed US debut, their popularity had largely waned back home in Korea. But JYP decided to bring them back with a retro 80s pop-esque song, which has been fairly successful, garnering over 11 million views on Youtube.

Netizens Claim SM Entertainment Is Trying To Push Lay Out Of EXO

Recently, news arose that EXO-M member Lay would not be able to participate in EXO's 2nd North American due to being busy with activities in China. Although this is a plausible explanation for Lay's absence at the 5-city tour in February, many netizens are worried that this is SM Entertainment's plan to remove Lay from the group.

Three members of EXO-M have already left the group within the last two years and are enjoying massive success in China with the popularity gained while they were in EXO.

Some netizens believe that SM is afraid that Lay will file a lawsuit to nullify his contract. Because of this, the SM is doing whatever it take to keep Lay happy and in the group, which includes allowing him to continue with activities in China despite the fact that the group is going on their second North American tour.

Other netizens believe that due to Lay's busy schedule, he will be unable to promote with the group but will also not leave, instead opting to wait until his contract quietly ends, similar to what Super Junior's Kibum did.

However, what most fail to realize is that if SM made Lay attend the tour, they would be criticized for not supporting Lay's work in China. But if they let Lay pursue China activities and skip the concert, they get criticized for not keeping EXO together and blamed for trying to separate the group.

Most suspicions have stemmed from Lay's lack of participation in other EXO concerts, namely a Japan concert where he had time for the concert, but SM blocked him from joining.

Is SM trying to tell fans that the group is fine with just 8 members? Or is Lay just way too busy in China to attend?
